With a passion for renewable energy, Mr. Dunn has most recently been involved in independent geological consulting for geothermal exploration and development companies in North America.

Mr. Dunn has worked on a number of geothermal exploration projects in the US and Canada. His work and research includes geological structural and temperature mapping, drilling rock analysis and reporting, and geothermal resource prospecting in both the US and Western Canada.

After a key conference at the Southern Methodist University (SMU) on geothermal co-production opportunities within the oil and gas industry co-production, Mr. Dunn has extended his geothermal research into the vast energy potential from waste water and heat resources for the Canadian Energy market in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.

WellDunn is currently working with Sierra Geothermal Power Corp to develop electric power from waste-steam and high temperature water resources in conjunction with the oil and gas industry representatives. Mr. Dunn’s unique business and geological experience has given him the opportunity to expand his consulting company.

Mr. Dunn is also currently acting as Education and Membership Director for CanGEA, the Canadian Geothermal Energy Association. He helped co-ordinate the revitalization of the industry association including initiating geothermal research programs with BC Energy and Mines, University of British Columbia and Queen’s University. Mr. Dunn recently helped negotiate an MOU with the Canadian GeoExchange Coalition for the advancement of both high and low temperature geothermal resources in Canada and helped establish CanGEA’s successful geothermal education and outreach program.

WellDunn offers hourly office rates for research, analysis and reporting in the field of geothermal energy exploration and development. WellDunn also is available for wellsite and field exploration for oil and gas and geothermal projects at daily rates with expenses.
