Field Geology

Mr. Craig Dunn holds a B.Sc. Honours Degree in Geology from the University of Manitoba and is an active member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta.

Mr. Dunn is president of WellDunn Consulting of Calgary, Alberta; WellDunn was established in 2003 as a geological consulting firm for the oil and gas industry, specializing in wellsite geological analysis.

Our oil and gas client list includes energy companies Shell, Encana, Husky, Baytex, Nexen, Jacos, Suncor, and Devon, for conventional and unconventional oil and gas projects and tar-sands applications. His work has taken throughout Western Canada from SE Saskatchewan to Northern British Columbia. Craig has also been had the opportunity to work on renewable energy/geothermal projects in the US and Canada.

Prior to the formation of WellDunn Consulting, Mr. Dunn worked as an environmental geologist with ARC Environmental Inc., conducting environmental audits and remediation work for the energy industry in Alberta and BC.

A passionate outdoorsman with a love for field work, Mr. Dunn began his career in exploration geology and completed his honours thesis project while working as a field geologist with DeBeers Canada in Northern Manitoba.
